Job Description

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes by offering technical support for the development, implementation, and maintenance of efficient manufacturing methods.
  • Design and implement manufacturing processes in line with project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve existing manufacturing methods to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space allocation, and workflow, optimizing equipment and workspace layouts for maximum productivity.
  • Collaborate with production teams on product design and tooling to ensure effective and efficient production methods.
  • Interface with customers to define product specifications, bills of materials (BOM), and design modifications, and address technical requests.
  • Estimate production timelines, labor needs, and associated costs to support informed decision-making by management.
  • Work cross-functionally with management, engineering, and operations teams to align production capabilities with scheduling and resource planning.
  • Utilize statistical methods to forecast future manufacturing requirements and potential growth areas.
  • Drive process engineering initiatives focused on improving cost, quality, and delivery performance within the manufacturing environment.
  • Assess and implement new product and process designs to ensure manufacturability and scalability.
  • Prepare business cases for capital equipment, oversee procurement, and implement new machinery into production.
  • Lead and support validation activities for manufacturing systems, equipment, and process setups.
  • Supervise the introduction of new process equipment and establish consistent, reliable process parameters.
  • Identify and resolve process-related issues through troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Contribute to cycle time and process efficiency improvement projects.
  • Evaluate and select engineered materials to meet production needs.
  • Apply statistical process controls and analysis to both new and existing products.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance safety, productivity, and product yield.
  • Continuously develop and optimize in-house manufacturing techniques and capabilities.
  • Maintain and update process documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Review and refine processing methods to improve consistency and output quality.
  • Coordinate new process implementation and technology transfer with production teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing or engineering role.
  • Solid technical knowledge of PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) and/or system box build processes.
  • Proficient in interpreting 2D engineering drawings and electronic schematics.
  • Computer-literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD systems.
  • Strong technical and commercial communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively in a customer-focused environment and collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • A dependable team player with strong interpersonal skills.
