We are looking for an engineering leader who can do both: drive team execution, culture,
and roadmap while remaining a credible technical contributor. You'll architect
a microservice platform, unblock engineers at the code level, and set the technical bar
through example. You'll own delivery from design to production across container-native
platforms running on Kubernetes and a monolithic architecture.
What you'll do - leadership
- Lead and grow a team of 6–12 engineers; own hiring, onboarding, performance, and career development
- Run agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and cross-team coordination
- Collaborate with product, DevOps, SRE, and security stakeholders to align on roadmap priorities
- Translate complex technical trade-offs into clear recommendations for non-technical leadership
- Foster a culture of code quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
- Define and track team-level KPIs: deployment frequency, MTTR, cycle time, test
- coverage
What you'll do - hands-on technical
- Actively write, review, and merge production-grade code in the team's primary language(s)
- Design and document microservice contracts, API schemas, and event interfaces
- Author and review Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, and resource configurations
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead postmortems for critical incidents
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipeline templates used across the team's services
- Instrument services with distributed tracing, metrics, and structured logging (OpenTelemetry stack)
- Drive security-by-default practices: container image scanning, RBAC, secret
- management, network policies
- Evaluate and prototype new tooling, before broader rollout
Requirement
- Minimum 5–8+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering, with at least 2 years of experience leading or managing engineering teams.
- Proficient in backend development using .NET Core, Go, JavaScript, or Python in production environments.
- Proficient in frontend development, including Core JavaScript, major frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular, meta frameworks such as Next.js or Nuxt, styling frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS
- Strong experience with databases and data platforms, including PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), MongoDB, Redis, Cosmos DB, Firebase, and Supabase.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including workloads, networking, RBAC, resource management and limits, Docker image authoring, multi-stage builds, and image layer optimisation.
- Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Tekton.
- Solid understanding of API architecture and design patterns, including GraphQL, REST, and gRPC, as well as API versioning best practices.
- Experience with asynchronous messaging and event-driven architectures using Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, or Azure Service Bus/Event Hub.
- Production-level experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, New Relic, or Grafana.
