Job Summary
Lead kitchen operations by preparing authentic Bangladeshi cuisine, managing staff, setting menus, and ensuring timely order delivery with high hygiene standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare authentic Bangladeshi dishes by applying expert knowledge of traditional recipes and menus.
- Communicate effectively with customers using Bangla to enhance service and address inquiries.
- Manage all kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow and food quality.
- Work flexible shifts from 9:30am to 1:30pm and 8:00pm to 12:00am, including overtime as needed.
- Prepare multiple food packets efficiently for catering within tight timeframes.
- Design and set weekly menus that meet customer preferences and operational needs.
- Monitor inventory levels and place timely orders to maintain adequate stock.
- Supervise kitchen staff and develop their culinary skills to improve team performance.
- Maintain strict hygiene standards in and around the kitchen to comply with food safety regulations.
- Oversee cooking processes and ensure orders are delivered promptly with accuracy.
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 8-10 years of chef experience in Singapore.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Familiarity with Bangla language to interact with customers. (Preferred as it supports customer communication but is not legally or professionally mandated.)
Other Information
- Shift hours: 9:30am to 1:30pm and 8:00pm to 12:00am with flexibility for overtime.
