The Engineer, Technical Service (ACMV) is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and operational performance of ACMV systems and equipment. The role supports preventive maintenance activities, Addition & Alteration (A&A) works, upgrading projects and technical operations to ensure systems are operating efficiently, safely and in compliance with regulatory and organisational standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and servicing works for ACMV equipment and systems
- Monitor ACMV system performance and analyse operational data to identify faults, trends and improvement opportunities
- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend rectification solutions for equipment and system failures
- Support testing, commissioning, upgrading, retrofitting and Addition & Alteration (A&A) works for ACMV systems
- Review technical drawings, specifications and method statements for maintenance and project works
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders on operational and technical matters
- Prepare maintenance schedules, technical reports, SOPs and operational documentation
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians and subcontractors on site activities
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), Environmental Management System (EMS) and statutory requirements
- Support emergency response activities and critical system recovery works when required
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant ACMV maintenance, operations or facilities management experience
- Familiar with ACMV systems, chiller plant operations and preventive maintenance practices
- Experience in A&A, upgrading or retrofitting projects will be an advantage
- Knowledge of local WSH regulations and safety practices
- Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
