Programme Executive (d'Klub)

Our d’Klub Mentoring Programme is one of CCSS’s flagship initiatives. Through mentorship, life skills, and meaningful relationships, we help children and youths discover their potential and thrive in school and in life. We seek a servant leader who serves with humility, a heart for people and someone who fosters strong relationships through integrity and love. As a Programme Executive of d’Klub Mentoring Programme, you will be responsible for overseeing volunteer management, planning programme curriculum and executing groupwork for children. This role requires full-day availability on Saturdays.


Responsibilities


Volunteer Management:

  • Conduct orientation and relevant trainings for volunteers
  • Schedule and deploy volunteers for each d’klub centre
  • Maintain regular communication with volunteers by sending relevant updates and weekly lesson plans to them
  • Plan and execute annual volunteers’ retreat
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of the programmes and services delivered by volunteers and implement improvements where necessary
  • Prepare incident reports in the event of a disciplinary matter

d’Klub Programme:

  • Engage children and volunteers for tuition and character-building lesson
  • Design and execute curriculum and/or character-building lessons together with volunteers
  • Plan and implement outings and/or learning activities to boost children & volunteers’ capacities and abilities
  • Conduct home visits to assess beneficiaries’ families and evaluate the growth beneficiaries, and prepare home visit reports
  • Coordinate and work closely with school principal/vice-principal/school counsellor
  • Follow up with parents/caregivers for beneficiaries with irregular attendance and ascertain if they should continue with the programme
  • Maintain up-to-date records of beneficiaries and volunteers, including emergency contact lists

Other Duties:

  • Provide administrative support to beneficiaries in submitting financial assistance application to relevant agencies when required
  • Be a team player in supporting other departmental programmes under CareYouth
  • Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by Head of CareFamily (Care Youth)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in social sciences
  • At least 1 year of experience in community services and/or working with children & youth
  • A servant leader who leads with humility, integrity and love
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to engage with children, youths, volunteers, and partners with empathy
  • A reliable team player who also thrives working independently
  • Meticulous, well-organised and diligent in handling youth administrative duties
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to commit to a full work day on Saturdays
