About the Role
Kotra Pharma is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager – Warehousing & Logistics to identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities for our warehousing and logistics services, with a focus on selling warehouse space, pallet storage solutions, and logistics support services.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain, freight forwarding, distribution, or related B2B service sales.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop new business opportunities for warehouse space, pallet storage, logistics, and distribution services.
* Identify and approach potential customers who require warehousing or stock storage solutions in Melaka.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, business partners, transporters, and logistics stakeholders.
* Prepare proposals, quotations, and commercial discussions with potential customers.
* Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure customer requirements can be fulfilled.
* Conduct market research to identify companies with warehousing, distribution, or logistics needs.
* Follow up on leads, enquiries, and potential business opportunities.
* Support management in achieving business growth and warehouse utilisation targets.
* Ensure all business activities comply with company policies, GMP, GDP, GSP, safety, and regulatory requirements where applicable.
* Provide regular updates, pipeline reports, and sales progress to management.
Requirements
* Diploma or Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related field.
* Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in business development, sales, logistics, warehousing, supply chain, freight forwarding, or related industry.
* Candidates with experience selling logistics, warehousing, storage, transport, or B2B services will have an added advantage.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
* Able to identify business opportunities and convert leads into customers.
* Good understanding of warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.
* Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently.
* Willing to travel for customer meetings etc.
