Job Description

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily air and sea freight operations, ensuring efficient and punctual transportation of goods.
  • Handle cross-border tracking processes, ensuring compliance with international shipping and customs regulations.
  • Coordinate closely with carriers, customs officials, and other relevant stakeholders to mitigate operational disruptions.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Identify inefficiencies in freight operations and implement process improvements to enhance overall performance.
  • Use data-driven insights to monitor and refine operational strategies, minimizing delays and reducing costs.
  • Provide regular shipment updates to clients, addressing any concerns promptly and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Focus Team to ensure cohesive communication and service delivery.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
  • Ensure all freight operations adhere strictly to relevant international laws and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all shipments, including customs declarations and tracking reports.
  • Ensure timely billing and invoice verifications.
  • To analyze complex situations, identify solutions and make quick decision in resolving customer complaints and issues.

Requirements:

  • Singaporeans ONLY
  • A diploma, degree, or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a leadership role within freight & logistics.
  • Experience managing teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage change and lead the team through operational adjustments and disruptions.
  • Open to continuous learning and improvement in management practices.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure, balancing operational needs with team dynamics.
  • Proactive in identifying potential issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Focused on achieving team goals and maintaining high-performance standards.
  • Ability to hold self and team accountable to targets and deadlines.
  • High level of emotional intelligence to understand team members needs and build rapport.
  • Ability to create a positive work culture and foster employee engagement.
