Responsibilities:

• Prepare outline and detailed drawings to the appropriate scale as required by relevant authorities or customer specifications.
• Create preliminary drawings based on sales quotation requirements.
• Draft single-line diagrams, termination, and arrangement drawings according to the scope of supply (JOP).
• Prepare necessary documentation for submission of vendor documentation to the customer and class authorities for review.
• Provide engineering calculations as required.
• Monitor the progress of engineering activities to ensure timely completion of engineering documentation.
• Guide and mentor junior drafters to ensure all drafting work is completed and delivered on time.
• Engage with customers to address engineering issues when necessary.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the section manager and supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal requirements.
• Maintain organized records of all work schedules and establish proper filing systems and documentation (e.g., repair receipts, service reports, quotations, inspection reports, etc.).
• Assist in planning, tracking, and reporting work progress.
• Identify and escalate potential risks and issues throughout the project phase.
• Hold all required regulatory passes, including Shipyard Safety Induction Course, Work-at-Height training, and Confined Space training.
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including reporting any incidents or near-miss occurrences.

Requirements:

• Electrical or electronic knowledge.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 / ISO 18001 standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software (2D/3D).
• Minimum ITE qualification in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical, Communication, or Marine Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in a related field.
