We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting daily purchasing activities, coordinating with suppliers, managing procurement documentation, and ensuring smooth purchasing operations to support the company’s ongoing business growth and operational needs.
Location: Tampoi, Johor Bahru
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, products, and supplies required by the company.
- Prepare Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure accurate documentation.
- Follow up with suppliers on quotations, orders, and delivery schedules.
- Compare prices and negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective purchasing.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely replenishment.
- Maintain and update purchasing records, supplier databases, and filing systems.
- Ensure purchased items meet company requirements and specifications.
- Coordinate with warehouse and accounts departments regarding deliveries and invoices.
- Perform other purchasing and administrative duties assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in Purchasing / Procurement field is an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience in using AutoCount or SQL Accounting System will be an added advantage.
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Positive attitude, responsible, and willing to learn.
Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
