Your responsibilities will be to:
- Assist in the roll-out of Risk Management activities to support the accomplishment of Departmental objectives, goals and targets;
- Facilitate on Project, Departmental & Entity wide Risk Registers assessments, conduct periodic Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) exercise by the respective Business/Support Units (BU/SU;
- Provide support to the BU/SU in using appropriate risk management tools to enhance risk identification, control effectiveness and risk monitoring, e.g., RCSA, Key Risk Indicators (KRI), Business Impact Assessment (BIA) as well as loss event tracking;
- Supervise the evaluation and assessment of the adequacy of internal controls;
- Perform reviews on Policies/Frameworks/Sops and etc to identify and propose appropriate controls on processes;
- Assist in the periodic reports on risk matters to Management and Risk Management Audit Committee (RMAC);
- Assist in collection, review and follow up on loss event incidents (risk events) with BU/SU in timely manner;
- Assist in periodic regulatory submission of Key Risk Indicators, Loss Event Description, Incident Reports to BNM, Paynet and etc;
- Preparation of materials & training to entity wide staffs and new hires on periodic basis;
- Coordinate on performance of special risk reviews, audit investigations and forensic audits as necessary;
- Communicate and lead the execution of risk management including facilitating the risk and control assessments for business activities, risk-based audit planning, execution and monitoring of audit findings as well as making recommendations for enhancements in internal controls and risk management;
- Promptly escalate key information relating to material risks and its mitigation to Head of Department and Management;
- Assist with interdepartmental functions together with BCM & ISG units;
- Facilitate assessment of regulatory exposure drafts and policy documents and monitoring submission of regulatory reportings.
To be eligible for this role, you will require:
- Degree in Risk Management/ Finance/ Economics/ Statistics/ Business Management/ Business Studies;
- At least 4 years relevant risk management experience, preferably in financial institution/ insurance;
- Ability to think and analyse critically;
- Result oriented and possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
