The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and quality control systems for high-rise building projects. The role ensures all works comply with project specifications, relevant standards, and QLASSIC requirements, from structural works through architectural finishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC procedures, Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and method statements.
- Ensure all site activities comply with project specifications, drawings, and authority standards.
- Conduct site inspections and audits for structural, architectural, and M&E works.
- Manage material inspections, approvals, and ensure compliance with approved samples.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and site teams on quality-related matters.
- Prepare and submit QA/QC reports, checklists, and documentation.
- Handle Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and ensure proper corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor and improve QLASSIC score performance throughout project stages.
- Ensure proper document control for all quality records and submissions.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Conduct toolbox briefings / training related to quality standards and workmanship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in building construction, with high-rise project experience.
- Must possess QLASSIC certification and hands-on experience in QLASSIC assessment.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
- Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management System is an added advantage.
- Experience handling consultants, subcontractors, and authority submissions.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Knowledge of CONQUAS / QLASSIC scoring system.
- Experience in defect management and handover process (CCC stage).
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
