Job Title : Sr. Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Purpose :

Sr. Software Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through meticulous testing, advanced automation practices, and continuous process improvements. This role requires a proactive approach to quality assurance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software solutions, meet project timelines, and uphold high standards of excellence. The Sr. Software Quality Engineer also plays a key role in mentoring junior QA team members and enhancing test automation frameworks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional and non-functional testing of software applications.
• Lead mobile testing efforts across Android and iOS platforms, identifying issues and ensuring compatibility and performance.
• Implement and manage test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Appium, Playwright, and API Automation.
• Collaborate with product owners and development teams to review software requirements, provide insights, and estimate testing deliverables.
• Conduct database testing, particularly with SQL, Postgres, and MongoDB, to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Integrate and maintain CI/CD pipelines, utilizing tools like Git and Jenkins for streamlined deployment and testing processes.
• Monitor, analyze, and report testing metrics, providing insights and recommendations for process improvement.
• Expand the automation script library and support QA engineers in building and maintaining test automation scripts.
• Troubleshoot issues effectively, using analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve them in a timely manner.
• Document and communicate test results, providing stakeholders with a clear understanding of quality status and potential risks.
• Actively participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate within an agile development environment, ensuring quality is built into every phase of the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with 1+ year in test automation.
• Proficiency in software testing principles, including test execution, test case creation, and software quality metrics.
• Expertise in mobile testing on Android and iOS platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, API Automation).
• Familiarity with TDD and BDD methodologies and Agile practices.
• Proficient in Java/Python for test automation development.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipeline integration, including Git and Jenkins.
• Proficiency in SQL and database testing (SQL, Postgres DB, MongoDB).
• ISTQB CTFL certification (required).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Project management and leadership experience are advantageous.
