QA Officer

Location: Kempas Lama, JB

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented QA Officer to join our growing team in the food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring food safety, product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

Food Safety & Compliance

• Manage and maintain the HACCP Plan
• Ensure full CCP compliance
• Monitor PRP & OPRP implementation
• Conduct internal audits
• Ensure compliance with Halal, GMP, HACCP, MESTI, and relevant food regulations

Product Development & Launch

Act as the QA Gatekeeper for new product launches:

• Review COA and raw materials
• Verify label compliance
• Conduct shelf life studies & stability testing
• Perform microbiological challenge testing
• Approve trial runs and mass production

No QA approval = No product launch.

Supplier & Raw Material Management

• Conduct supplier audits and evaluations
• Perform incoming material inspections
• Analyze supplier rejection trends
• Follow up on corrective actions

Production Quality Control

• Conduct in-line and end-line inspections
• Validate metal detector & X-ray systems
• Support packaging defect reduction initiatives

Incident & Crisis Management

• Execute product containment procedures
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA
• Support product release decisions during incidents

Reporting & Governance

• Prepare QA KPI reports and compliance updates
• Monitor complaint trends, NCR & CAPA status
• Support audit readiness and strategic QA initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, Nutrition, Biotechnology, or related field
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• Experience in food manufacturing or beverage industry is an added advantage
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Halal, ISO 22000, or food safety systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good documentation and reporting abilities
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and report preparation
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English
