Role:

The Design Engineer/Senior Design Engineer is responsible for designing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Large Scale Solar (LSS) projects. The role involves working closely with clients, sales, project teams, and internal stakeholders to develop optimized, compliant, and cost-effective solar system designs that meet technical, regulatory, and project requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct site assessments and evaluate project feasibility for C&I and LSS solar installations

2. Designing solar PV systems, including selecting appropriate solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, and other components.

3. Creating detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and electrical schematics for the solar projects.

4. Performing shading analysis and energy simulations to optimize system performance.

5. Ensuring that designs comply with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards.

6. Collaborating with the procurement team to source high-quality and cost-effective solar equipment.

7. Providing technical support during the project implementation phase.

8. Keeping up-to-date with the latest solar technology trends and innovations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in electrical, mechanical, or renewable energy.

2. Minimum 3 years of experience in solar PV design or related engineering work

3. Experience in C&I and/or LSS solar projects is required

3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, or similar design tools

4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to RM5,000.00 per month
