Role Overview:

The Intern Automation Scientist will support the Automation Team in exploring, building, and testing AI-driven automation solutions across the organization. This role provides hands-on exposure to Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), workflow automation, and business problem-solving through technology.

The intern will collaborate with technical and business teams to prototype internal AI tools, experiment with GenAI capabilities, and contribute ideas that improve operational efficiency and user experience. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about AI innovation, eager to learn rapidly, and excited to apply emerging technologies to real business challenges.

What You'll Do:

AI & Automation Solution Development

1. Assist in building and testing AI-powered solutions using LLMs and GenAI tools.
2. Support the development of small end-to-end GenAI prototypes such as chatbots, copilots, or workflow automation tools.
3. Experiment with prompt engineering techniques and help optimize AI-generated outputs.
4. Research and explore emerging GenAI tools, frameworks, and industry trends.
5. Participate in testing, debugging, and improving AI workflows and automation solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement & Solutioning

1. Work with team members and stakeholders to understand business processes and identify automation opportunities.
2. Help translate business problems into practical GenAI or automation use cases.
3. Prepare simple demos, documentation, guides, or presentation materials when required.
4. Communicate technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
5. Contribute ideas proactively and collaborate effectively within the team environment.

Role Requirements:

Technical

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Basic programming knowledge, preferably in Python.
• Basic understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI concepts.
• Exposure to GenAI tools or APIs such as ChatGPT, OpenAI API, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering or simple AI/automation projects is an advantage.
• Strong curiosity and willingness to learn about the latest AI and automation technologies.
