About the role

Joining VIVAX METROTECH SDN. BHD. as a Manufacturing Senior Engineer (Test), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electrical/electronic products. Based in our Batu Kawan, Penang facility, this full-time position will see you overseeing the testing processes to uphold our high standards and drive continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

1. Test and troubleshoot analog and digital electronic circuits.

2. Program microcontrollers and perform functional testing on electronic products.

3. Use tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers to diagnose hardware and embedded system issues.

4. Support prototype assembly, product testing, and validation activities.

5. Upload, configure, and verify firmware for embedded systems.

6. Work with software engineers to integrate and validate firmware on hardware platforms.

7. Review and troubleshoot schematics and PCB layouts.

8. Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety requirements.

9. Maintain technical documents, test reports, and troubleshooting records.

10. Provide technical support and training to production teams.

11. Support process improvements for manufacturing, testing, product quality, and reliability.

12. Assist in developing and improving testing procedures and validation methods.

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field

2. 8+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the electrical/electronic industry

3. Proven track record in developing and implementing effective testing strategies and protocols

4. Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills

5. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams

6. Proficient in data analysis and report writing

7. Ability to lead and mentor a team of test engineers

8. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to product testing
