Description
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist / Cannulation Specialist to join our population health research team on a contract basis in the National University of Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing venipuncture, blood collection, ensuring infection control measures are strictly followed, and demonstrating proficiency in medical terminology. This role requires relevant practical experience and will be based on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify identity and obtain consent from the research participant before performing venipuncture.
Perform venipuncture according to order of draw with precision and care.
Adhere to strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
Prepare blood collection kits and review inventory.
Measure participant's handgrip strength and blood pressure before blood draw.
Perform basic health screening procedures such as anthropometric measurements, fundus photography and/or ECG.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Phlebotomist or Cannulation Specialist.
Proficiency in venipuncture and blood collection techniques.
Strong knowledge of infection control practices in a healthcare setting.
Certification in Phlebotomy or Cannulation
Certification in First Aid
Hepatitis B antibody titre of not less than 10mIU/mL based on a clinical lab report within the last 3 years.

- Work Hours: 7.45am - 5.30pm, Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri; 9am - 5pm, Wed
