Accountant & Internal Audit

Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities Include:

Accounts

• Setting up new overseas entities.
• Preparing and managing multiple sets of accounts for overseas entities.
• Handling regional finance transactions, tax matters, rules, regulations, and compliance.
• Managing intercompany balances and transactions.
• Tracking project costs and performing account analysis.
• Managing cash flow.
• Liaising with local auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and bankers.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, processes, procedures, and internal audit requirements.
• Supporting ERP implementation projects.
• Communicating with various departments, managers, and external parties.

Internal Audit

• Undertaking internal audits to ensure the company meets its financial, operational, risk management, and compliance objectives.
• Carrying out audit reviews of identified issues through follow-up procedures.
• Identifying control deficiencies and making recommendations for improvement and mitigation.
• Maintaining and reviewing internal audit processes to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures, while keeping them updated with current legislation and best practices.
• Reviewing and enhancing the company’s audit processes, procedures, and systems.

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Accountancy/ACCA with at least 5 years of working experience in a similar role.
• Team player with high integrity and a strong sense of urgency.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Independent, meticulous, resourceful, and analytical in nature.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and PowerPoint.
• Experience with MYOB and Globe 3 ERP accounting systems.
• Initial years of external audit experience preferred.
• Positive attitude, self-driven, and passionate about work.
• Good understanding of FRS and project accounting.
• Able to handle difficult issues/situations and work under pressure.
• Good understanding and/or prior experience in regional finance.
• Good understanding of organizational workflows and processes.
