Job Summary

Assist the SQE department by managing daily IT operations and supporting new model and engineering change processes. Drive continuous improvement and standardize systems to enhance efficiency and ensure smooth software and hardware integration with production line equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up computers for production and office use to ensure operational readiness
  • Maintain servers and perform regular server backups to secure data integrity
  • Install, update, and maintain software on line equipment to support uninterrupted production
  • Prepare documentation for engineering changes, SOPs, and new model introductions related to software components
  • Plan and execute new model trials using UTQ and report status updates to headquarters
  • Participate in client Security and IT audits and provide corrective action reports for IT-related issues
  • Troubleshoot line systems and communicate issues and resolutions to headquarters
  • Manage IT access controls and privileges across all departments to maintain security
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures in daily operations
  • Lead improvement projects across administrative and line operations by developing programming solutions to automate data reporting, document submission, and operational decision-making through GUI and efficient data retrieval
  • Support headquarters by maintaining shopfloor system source code and proposing framework improvements to enhance departmental efficiency

Required competencies and certifications

  • Graduate with a recognized professional software engineering or computer technology qualification

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Two to three years of relevant engineering, project, and operational management experience
  • Proficient in Visual Basic or ************* for software improvement projects; familiarity with Python or other programming languages is advantageous
  • Skilled in Microsoft SQL Server for querying, data formatting, and database building
  • Familiarity with VS Code, DBeaver, MySQL, Postman, and Microsoft Remote Desktop Service
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with high self-confidence, drive, and motivation
