Responsibilities
Job Purpose
The Building Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring the building’s facilities, systems, and common areas are well-maintained, safe, and in good working condition at all times.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out routine inspection of building facilities, equipment, and common areas
2. Perform basic maintenance and repair works (electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, lighting, and general upkeep)
3. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and service complaints
4. Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for repair and maintenance works
5. Monitor and ensure all preventive maintenance schedules are carried out properly
6. Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and service reports
7. Ensure compliance with building safety standards and regulations
8. Assist in emergency situations such as power failure, water leakage, or system breakdown
9. Monitor inventory of maintenance tools and spare parts
10. Support building management team in day-to-day operations
Requirements
1. Minimum SPM / Certificate in Building Maintenance, Electrical, or related field
2. Basic knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning)
3. Hands-on experience in maintenance or facilities management is an advantage
4. Able to work independently and respond to emergency situations
5. Good communication and teamwork skills to liaise with purchasers, residents, staff, and contractors
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
