Key Responsibilities:
Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Department (HOD) – Audit, Accounting & Tax to lead and manage the full spectrum of audit, accounting, and tax functions. This role will be responsible for driving departmental performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing key client relationships, and supporting business growth. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with solid technical expertise, capable of overseeing multiple client engagements while mentoring a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Department Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and manage the Audit, Accounting & Tax department, including team structure and workflow planning
- Develop and execute departmental strategies aligned with business growth objectives
- Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
Client Management
- Act as the key point of contact for major clients
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Review and approve quotations, proposals, and engagement terms
Audit, Accounting & Tax Oversight
- Oversee audit, accounting, and tax engagements to ensure quality and compliance
- Review financial statements, audit reports, and tax submissions before finalisation
- Ensure all deliverables comply with regulatory requirements and standards
Advisory & Compliance
- Provide advisory to clients on audit, tax, and accounting matters
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, standards, and regulations
- Stay updated on changes in regulatory frameworks and industry practices
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture
- Support talent development and succession planning
Business Growth & Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and expand service offerings
- Support business development initiatives and client acquisition

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
RequirementsEducation & Professional Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent is an added advantage
Experience
- Minimum 5 – 7 years of experience in audit, accounting, and tax
- At least 3 – 5 years in a managerial or leadership role
- Experience in business development is an added advantage

- Excellent client management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects independently
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
- Able to speak Mandarin
Work Schedule:
- Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
