Key Responsibilities
1. Kitchen Operations & Team Supervision
- Supervise daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient food preparation and service
- Lead, guide, and support kitchen staff by assigning duties and monitoring performance
- Assist with staff training and ensure compliance with kitchen SOPs and operational standards
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and teamwork-oriented kitchen environment
2. Food Quality & Service Standards
- Ensure all food items are prepared and presented according to company recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
- Monitor food consistency, portion control, and preparation timelines during service periods
- Coordinate closely with service teams to ensure timely and accurate order delivery
3. Food Safety & Hygiene Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
- Monitor proper food handling, storage, labeling, and stock rotation practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization across all kitchen areas and equipment
4. Inventory & Stock Control
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering and receiving processes
- Minimize food wastage through effective inventory management and portion control
- Report low stock levels, damaged items, or equipment issues promptly
5. Kitchen Equipment & Maintenance
- Conduct routine checks to ensure kitchen equipment is functioning properly
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate repairs when necessary
- Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored safely
6. Cost Control & Operational Efficiency
- Support cost-control initiatives by managing food wastage and maintaining operational efficiency
- Assist management in achieving kitchen productivity and operational goals
- Ensure efficient workflow during peak operating hours
7. Additional Duties
- Support management with any other kitchen-related responsibilities assigned to support business operations
Job Requirements
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or a related field is an added advantage
- Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen operations or food preparation roles is preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a kitchen environment will be an added advantage
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Self-motivated, responsible, and committed to maintaining high standards
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
