Job Description

Responsibilities

At The Hour Glass, we are committed to developing talent and fostering a culture of continuous learning across the Group. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Learning & Development Executive to support the delivery of our learning initiatives.


Working closely with the Assistant L&D Manager and Group Head of L&D, you will play a key role in L&D operations, onboarding, communications, and THG Academy administration.


Key Responsibilities

L&D Operations

  • Support the rollout of learning programmes and initiatives across the Group
  • Coordinate onboarding and induction for new hires
  • Track participation and completion of training programmes
  • Organise learning sessions, events, and activities (including vendor coordination)


Training Administration & Reporting

  • Prepare learning reports, evaluations, and completion tracking
  • Maintain accurate training records and budgets
  • Manage training grants and claims (e.g. SkillsFuture)
  • Process invoices and liaise for timely payments with Finance
  • Execute L&D-related audits to upkeep company standards


THG Academy & Learning Communications

  • Administer and maintain the THG Academy platform, including user & content management, learning journeys, etc
  • Develop and update learning materials and resources
  • Coordinate and distribute internal newsletters and communications to promote learning culture


Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Support talent development initiatives and specialist training programmes
  • Facilitate basic induction sessions for new team members when required
  • Identify and propose opportunities to improve L&D processes
  • Assist with ad hoc L&D projects and duties


Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in HR, Hospitality, or related disciplines
  • Preferably 1–2 years of L&D or training administration experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and comfortable with digital and AI tools
  • Familiarity with HRIS/LMS/LXP platforms is an advantage
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Positive, independent, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
