The A*STAR Institute for Human Development and Potential (A*STAR IHDP) focuses on research that aims to improve and impact the health and well-being of Singaporeans across the life course.
The successful applicant will be involved in a multidisciplinary and collaborative research study on the built environment and mental well-being. He/She will investigate how the urban environment, such as neighbourhood design, heat stress and noise pollution, can influence the positive and negative aspects of mental well-being in families. The candidate will also be involved in longitudinal cohort studies and collaborations with clinicians and researchers from a wide range of disciplines.
Job Description
- Data management and analysis of data.
- Combine a thorough examination of the literature with study results to answer scientific questions and hypothesis.
- Assist with preparation of scientific publications, data reports, grants and presentations.
- Perform measurements, collection of data and samples as well as field and experimental work if required.
- Assist with other administrative duties.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Bioinformatics, Architecture, Statistics, Geography, Real Estate, Urban Planning or a closely related field.
- Candidates with no experience are welcome to apply.
- Highly self-motivated with excellent communication and writing skills in English language.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and statistical program.
- Strong desire to learn in a dynamic multi-disciplinary research environment.
- Previous experience with geospatial analysis, managing and analyzing data sets and/or in bioinformatics will be preferred.
