Job Description

Responsibilities

Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Purchasing

  • Manage the procurement process for pharmaceutical products, medical supplies, equipment, and operational materials.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, quotations, and procurement documentation accurately.

Supplier & Vendor Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and product quality standards.
  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding order status, shipment schedules, and issue resolution.

Inventory & Stock Coordination

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to avoid stock shortages or overstock situations.
  • Work closely with warehouse and operations teams on stock planning and material availability.
  • Support inventory control and stock reconciliation activities when required.

Cost Control & Budget Monitoring

  • Ensure procurement activities are aligned with company budgets and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Analyze pricing trends and recommend cost optimization opportunities.
  • Support management in achieving operational efficiency and procurement savings.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, pharmaceutical regulations, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements related to procurement processes.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with finance, warehouse, logistics, regulatory, and operations teams to ensure smooth procurement and delivery processes.
  • Resolve procurement-related issues and support operational requirements effectively.

Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare procurement reports, purchase tracking, and supplier performance analysis.
  • Update ERP or procurement systems accurately and ensure proper documentation filing.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in:
  • Pharmaceutical industry
  • Healthcare or medical supply sector
  • Manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supplier coordination.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software is an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Pay: RM3,600.00 - RM4,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
