Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and production of menu items as directed by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
• Follow standard recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency in food quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including proper storage of ingredients and cleaning of equipment.
• Participate in daily kitchen operations, such as mise en place, prep work, and assembly of dishes.
• Support the Chef de Partie in ensuring smooth operation of the kitchen and prompt service at all times.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of raw and cooked food products.
• Guarantee the safety and proper utilization of kitchen equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, checking for quality and freshness of ingredients.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service during busy periods.
• Aid in the management of inventory, which involves tasks such as maintaining proper stock rotation and meticulously recording inventory quantities.
• Performs other related duties/ tasks as assigned by superior/ management.

Requirements:

• Must possess at least a Diploma/ Degree in Culinary Arts or other related disciplines.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience as a Kitchen Assistant, Commis or other related roles.
• Proficient in cooking techniques, knife skills, and familiarity with kitchen equipment.
• Strong understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
• Strong organizational skills to manage the station efficiently and keep track of inventory.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices, including HACCP guidelines.
• Ability to cope with a fast-paced working environment.
• Excellent teamwork and outgoing personality, with good customer service skills.
• Willing to work on early shift, closing shift, weekends & public holidays.
• Possess own transport and willing to travel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
