Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Production
- Prepare basic pastry items (cakes, tarts, cookies, bread, simple desserts)
- Follow recipes accurately (weight, measurements, method)
- Assist in assembling and plating desserts
2. Mise en Place
- Prepare ingredients in advance (weighing, cutting, portioning)
- Ensure station is ready before service
3. Kitchen Support
- Assist senior chefs (Chef de Partie / Sous Chef / Head Pastry Chef)
- Help in bulk production (central kitchen, catering prep, etc.)
- Support during service when needed
4. Hygiene & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness of workstation at all times
- Follow food safety standards (FIFO, labeling, storage)
- Proper handling of equipment
5. Stock & Storage
- Store ingredients properly (chiller, freezer, dry store)
- Inform seniors when stock is low
- Minimise wastage
