Job Description
Responsibilities
We are a rubber glove manufacturing company seeking a Wastewater Treatment Executive (CP License holder) to manage and operate the Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS) and ensure full compliance with Department of Environment (DOE) regulations and environmental standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for daily wastewater treatment operations, monitoring system performance, maintaining compliance records, and supporting environmental sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain the Wastewater / Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP/IETS)
- Ensure wastewater discharge complies with DOE Malaysia regulations and legal requirements
- Monitor and record effluent parameters (pH, BOD, COD, TSS, ammonia, etc.)
- Conduct daily inspections, sampling, and basic laboratory testing
- Maintain proper operation logs, compliance records, and reporting
- Coordinate with DOE officers during inspections and audits
- Handle scheduled waste in accordance with environmental regulations (if applicable)
- Perform troubleshooting and corrective actions for treatment system issues
- Ensure proper chemical dosing, sludge handling, and equipment maintenance
- Support ISO 14001 / ESG / environmental management systems
- Ensure safe working practices and environmental compliance at all times
Job Requirements
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Science, or related field
- Must possess a Competent Person (CP) License issued by DOE Malaysia - CePIETSO-BP / CePSO, as applicable
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in wastewater treatment operations, preferably in manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of DOE Environmental Quality Act & Regulations
- Familiar with IETS / ETP operations, monitoring, and reporting
- Able to work independently and respond to system or compliance issues
- Good documentation and reporting skills
- Willing to work in a manufacturing / plant environment
- Good communication skills and responsible attitude
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
