Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC grinding machines such as cylindrical, surface, centerless, or internal grinders according to technical drawings and process requirements.
• Perform precision grinding processes to achieve required dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and tolerance specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions accurately before machining operations.
• Select, mount, and dress grinding wheels and tooling based on material and production requirements.
• Adjust machine parameters including feed rate, spindle speed, depth of cut, and coolant flow to optimize machining performance.
• Conduct first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and height gauges.
• Troubleshoot machining defects, wheel wear, vibration issues, and dimensional inconsistencies to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic machine troubleshooting to ensure machine reliability and operational efficiency.
• Monitor production output and maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, quality procedures, and workplace safety regulations.
• Collaborate with production engineers, quality personnel, and supervisors to improve machining processes and productivity.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the machining and grinding work area following 5S practices.

Requirements

• Diploma, Certificate, or Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Precision Machining, or related field.
• Experience operating CNC grinding machines in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
• Knowledge of grinding processes, tooling, cutting parameters, and precision measurement techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within tight tolerances.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team-based production environment.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime when required.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
