Job Title: L1 Network Engineer

Location: Changi Business Park, Singapore

Working Arrangement: Onsite

Employment Type: 6 to 12-month renewable contract

Shift Requirement: Night shift duties required

Salary Range: SGD 3,200 – SGD 3,800

Experience Required: 1–3 years

About the Role

We are looking for a junior L1 Network Engineer to support network operations within a large enterprise banking environment. This role is suitable for candidates with 1–3 years of experience in network support, NOC, infrastructure operations, or IT support who are willing to work in a shift-based environment, including night shift duties.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring network services, performing first-level troubleshooting, managing incidents, and escalating technical issues to the relevant L2/L3 support teams when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1 network monitoring and operational support.
• Monitor network alerts, events, incidents, and service requests.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting for network connectivity, availability, and performance issues.
• Support basic checks on LAN, WAN, routing, switching, firewall, and connectivity-related incidents.
• Log, update, track, and close tickets in accordance with operational procedures.
• Escalate unresolved or complex issues to L2/L3 network teams in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders during incident resolution.
• Follow standard operating procedures, escalation processes, and shift handover requirements.
• Assist with daily network health checks and routine operational activities.
• Maintain proper documentation of incidents, actions taken, and shift updates.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in network support, NOC, IT operations, or infrastructure support.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and firewall fundamentals.
• Experience using monitoring tools and ticketing systems will be an advantage.
• Able to perform basic troubleshooting for network connectivity and service availability issues.
• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple support teams.
• Able to work onsite at Changi Business Park.
• Comfortable working on night shift duties and shift-based operations.
• Candidates with CCNA or other networking certifications will have an added advantage.
