Job Description

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts Payable & Receivable Operations
    Manage end-to-end AP and AR processes, including vendor invoice verification, payment processing, customer billing, and collections to ensure smooth cash flow across trading cycle

  2. Bank & Cash Flow Reconciliation
    Perform regular bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow movements to support the high-volume nature of trading transactions.

  3. Inventory & Trading Support
    Work closely with operations and supply chain teams on inventory accounting, cost tracking, and stock reconciliation—critical for trading operations.

  4. Financial Records Management
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded, classified, and reconciled in line with accounting standards.

  5. Cost & Expense Control
    Review employee claims and operational expenses, ensuring compliance with internal policies while supporting cost-efficiency initiatives.

  6. Financial Reporting & Insights
    Assist in preparing timely financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), providing insights to support management decisions in pricing, inventory, and trading margins.

  7. Tax & Regulatory Compliance
    Support tax filings and ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and other regulatory obligations.

  8. Budgeting & Business Forecasting
    Partner with Finance leadership to monitor budgets, analyze variances, and contribute to forecasting in a fast-moving trading environment.

  9. Audit Coordination
    Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring transparency and compliance.

  10. Process Improvement & Data Analysis
    Analyze financial data and workflows, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance reporting accuracy.

  11. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    Engage with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams to provide financial visibility and support business operations.

  12. Ad-hoc Assignments
    Support additional finance or administrative tasks as required in a growing trading business environment.


Job Requirements:

  • Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Accounting or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in using SAP accounting software and MS Office suite (Excel, Word).

  • Required language(s): English.

  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Analytical mindset and ability to interpret financial data.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving financial issues.

  • Familiarity with industry-specific accounting practices and inventory management is a plus.
