Job Description
Responsibilities
1. Vision System Development
· Design and implement machine vision solutions for wafer/die level inspection and metrology
· Develop image processing algorithms (defect detection, pattern recognition, edge detection, etc.)
· Work with cameras, optics, and lighting systems to capture high-quality images
2. Algorithm & Software Engineering
· Write and optimize code (commonly in C++, Python, or MATLAB)
· Develop and test vision algorithms for speed and accuracy
· Integrate vision modules into larger semiconductor equipment systems
3. R&D & Innovation
· Research new imaging techniques (e.g., AI-based vision, 3D imaging)
· Prototype and validate new concepts for next-generation equipment
· Improve resolution, throughput, and detection sensitivity
4. System Integration
· Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineers
· Integrate vision systems into tools like wafer inspection systems or AOI related machines
· Troubleshoot system-level issues
5. Data Analysis & Optimization
· Analyse imaging data to improve yield and defect detection
· Tune algorithms based on real production data
· Perform root cause analysis for vision-related issues
· Work on site testing and commissioning and customer support services
Job Requirements
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
• Electrical Engineering
• Computer Engineering
• Computer Science
• Physics or related field
2. 5+ years of experience in machine vision, image processing, or related fields
3. Strong programming skills in:
• C++ / Python / MATLAB / Zemax / Code V
4. Hands-on experience with:
• Image processing and computer vision techniques
• Vision tools/libraries (e.g., OpenCV, Halcon, Cognex VisionPro)
• Cameras, optics, and lighting systems
5. Experience in semiconductor equipment or wafer inspection systems
6. Knowledge of semiconductor processes (wafer sorting, photonics testing, die attach and etc.)
7. Familiarity with AI / deep learning for vision applications
8. Experience with 3D vision or metrology systems
9. Strong understanding of optics and imaging physics
