Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Food Manufacturing General Foreman to oversee daily production operations and lead a team of production staff in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for ensuring smooth production flow, maintaining product quality, enforcing food safety standards, and achieving operational targets efficiently.
The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership abilities, hands-on production experience, and a solid understanding of food manufacturing processes and workplace safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficiency, productivity, and product quality
- Lead, guide, and monitor production workers, operators, and technicians on the production floor
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards including HACCP and GMP requirements
- Monitor production schedules and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and delays
- Coordinate with maintenance and quality control teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations
- Conduct routine checks on machinery, production processes, and finished products to maintain quality standards
- Maintain accurate production, inventory, and staff performance records
- Train and support employees to improve performance, teamwork, and operational efficiency
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement
- Report production performance and operational matters to management
Requirements
- Minimum High School qualification; Diploma or higher in Food Science, Engineering, or related fields is an advantage
- At least 3 years of experience in food manufacturing, including supervisory or foreman experience
- Strong knowledge of food production operations, food safety standards, and manufacturing equipment
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and workplace safety practices
- Basic computer knowledge and reporting skills
- Able to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or automated production systems will be an added advantage
