Responsibilities
The Institute for the Environment is seeking a Research Assistant to support projects on thermal imaging analytics, indoor air quality (IAQ), and environmental risk assessment in Hong Kong. This role involves data engineering, statistical analysis, geospatial analytics, and field sensor deployment with key responsibilities as follows:
Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering/Science, Data Science, Computer Science, or Geography/Geomatics. The ideal candidate should be well-organized with good communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, self-motivated, attentive to details and multi-task oriented; and be able to work independently and as a team player. Proficiency in Python and basic statistical analysis, familiarity with geospatial tools (QGIS/ArcGIS), and willing to perform field work. (Duration: 1 year)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
