The Hong Kong University Of Science And Technology Hiring! Full Time Research Assistant in Sai Kung District, Hong Kong - Ricebowl

The appointee will assist with data scraping, collection, cleaning, and analysis using Python and Stata. They will also conduct textual analysis of regulatory and financial documents, support literature reviews and assist in other research activities.

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree or above and possess strong programming skills, especially in Python (text mining and web scraping). Familiarity with Stata for empirical analysis is also required. Attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and good communication skills are essential for this role. Candidates with background in economics or finance and prior research experience or an interest in academic research are preferred. (Duration: 1 year, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable.
