Research Assistant position is available in the Division of Life Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

The research group is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our Drug Discovery team. Training will be provided as needed, but hands-on experience in immunology or protein biochemistry is highly valued.

DUTIES

• Tissue culture and drug treatment in cell lines.
• Perform molecular and biochemical assays
• Lab maintenance, i.e. ordering supplies, general upkeep, etc.
• Support the preparation of technical reports and quantitative analyses.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of the experimental data.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology / Molecular Biology / Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience in cell culture and molecular biology-related techniques preferred; familiarity with antibody screening or protein purification is a strong plus
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-oriented.
• Strong organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills.

(Duration: 1 year, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
