About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Assistant or Audit Senior to join our dynamic accounting team at D K Mak & Co. in Sheung Wan, Central and Western District. This full-time position will play a vital role in supporting our audit and assurance services, contributing to the overall success of the firm.

What you'll be doing

• Performing detailed audits and reviews of financial statements and accounting records for a diverse range of clients

• Assisting in the planning and execution of audit engagements, including risk assessment, data analysis, and the preparation of audit reports

• Liaising with clients to gather information, resolve queries, and provide excellent customer service

• Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices

• Supervising and mentoring junior team members, where applicable

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of audit processes and procedures

What we're looking for

• Relevant accounting or auditing qualifications, such as a degree in Accounting or a professional accounting certification (e.g. CPA, ACCA)

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an audit or accounting role, preferably within a professional services firm

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues effectively

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members

• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

• Familiarity with audit software and technology, and a willingness to stay up-to-date with industry developments
