Job Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt technical assistance and support for issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues on Microsoft Windows platforms.
- Conduct basic wired and wireless network troubleshooting for computers and devices.
- Offer support via phone, email, and remote access software, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
- Process client service requests and escalate complex issues to Level 2 support or third-party vendors as needed.
- Install and configure new PC hardware, software, and peripherals (e.g., printers, phones, external drives).
- Perform profile and data migrations for Windows PCs and laptops.
- Educate clients on product features, proper usage, and address specific user concerns.
- Maintain and update technical support documentation, including user guides and procedures.
- Coordinate warranty services with hardware vendors when applicable.
- Follow up with clients to confirm resolution and satisfaction after service delivery.
- Monitor system health, availability, and functionality regularly.
- Track, manage, and update client computer equipment inventories.
- Continuously maintain and update technical knowledge, staying current with new tools and best practices.
- Flexibly support additional duties related to IT service provision when needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Higher NITEC graduates are also welcome).
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant internship or hands-on experience in IT support will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office applications, networking (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi), and hardware troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with basic printer and network troubleshooting is preferred.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Strong service mindset, willing to deliver high-quality support and continuously improve skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work outside normal hours when necessary to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Possession of IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications is an added advantage.
