Position : Security Engineer

Salary : RM 4,000 - RM 7,500

Location : Damansara, Petaling Jaya

Working days : 10am – 7pm / Mon - Fri

Job Summary

We are seeking a Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security controls across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments. The role is responsible for protecting systems and data from cyber threats while ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security architecture across systems, applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments
• Monitor systems and networks for security threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activities
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, coordinate penetration testing, and track remediation activities
• Work closely with development and DevOps teams to implement secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles
• Manage identity and access management (IAM), authentication, and authorization controls
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, including root cause analysis and reporting
• Implement and maintain security monitoring tools, alerts, and SIEM solutions
• Ensure compliance with internal security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Support security audits, risk assessments, and continuous security improvement initiatives
• Develop automation and proactive defense strategies to strengthen overall security posture

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or infrastructure security roles
• Strong understanding of network security, application security, and cloud security concepts
• Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection tools
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of secure software development practices and DevSecOps methodologies
• Experience with scripting or automation tools such as Python or Bash is an advantage
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident response skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams
• Security certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are an advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
