Shift Supervisor Responsibilities :-
As a Shift Supervisor at Daily Coffee Restaurant, you are responsible for managing the outlet operations during your assigned shift. You will ensure smooth workflow, maintain service standards, and lead the team on duty to deliver excellent customer experience.
1. Shift Operations Management
- Take full responsibility of outlet operations during assigned shift
- Ensure smooth opening, running, and closing of the outlet
- Monitor workflow and ensure all stations are well managed
- Handle immediate operational issues and make quick decisions
2. Staff Supervision
- Supervise and guide staff on duty during the shift
- Ensure staff are punctual, well-groomed, and in proper uniform
- Assign duties and monitor staff performance throughout the shift
- Provide on-the-spot coaching and support to team members
3. Customer Service
- Ensure all customers receive fast, friendly, and efficient service
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly
- Perform service recovery when necessary
- Maintain a positive dining experience for all customers
4. Cash Handling & POS
- Manage POS operations during the shift
- Ensure all transactions are accurate and properly recorded
- Monitor cash handling procedures and minimize discrepancies
- Perform shift cash counting and reporting
5. Quality Control
- Ensure all food and beverages meet company standards
- Check food presentation, taste, and serving time
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in both FOH & BOH
- Ensure compliance with food safety and halal requirements
6. Inventory & Stock Monitoring
- Monitor stock levels during the shift
- Report low stock and shortages to management
- Ensure proper usage of ingredients to reduce wastage
- Assist in stock receiving and checking when needed
7. Team Communication
- Conduct shift briefing before service starts
- Communicate important updates from management to staff
- Ensure good teamwork and coordination between FOH & kitchen
8. Reporting
- Prepare basic shift reports (sales, issues, staff performance)
- Report any incidents, customer complaints, or equipment issues
- Highlight operational challenges to management
- Shift Supervisor Requirements & Skills
- Minimum SPM or equivalent (Diploma is an advantage)
- At least 1–2 years experience in F&B or hospitality industry
- Leadership and team management skills
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of POS system and cash handling
- Understanding of hygiene, safety, and halal practices
- Responsible, disciplined, and able to handle pressure
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
