Infrastructure LeadKuala Lumpur(Onsite) Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Lead to oversee and manage the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of systems. Reporting to the Head of IT or CIO, this role combines team leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and strategic planning to support business-critical operations.

The ideal candidate will lead infrastructure operations, drive continuous improvements, manage vendors, and ensure compliance with security and audit requirements in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Operations

• Lead and manage the infrastructure team, including task allocation, roster planning, and performance monitoring
• Conduct regular team meetings and ensure effective coordination across functions
• Provide approvals and guidance to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Infrastructure Management & Support

• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of IT infrastructure and systems
• Oversee data center operations and manage uptime with external service providers
• Perform and monitor access management, patching, and release processes
• Maintain and update IT inventory, asset lifecycle, and technology refresh plans

Strategic Planning & Governance

• Collaborate with IT leadership to align infrastructure strategy with business objectives
• Review and recommend new technologies to improve system stability, security, and efficiency
• Develop and maintain IT operations procedures and documentation

Security, Risk & Compliance

• Work closely with IT security teams to address cybersecurity risks, audit findings, and compliance gaps
• Ensure adherence to security standards and governance frameworks
• Support vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security monitoring initiatives

Vendor & Budget Management

• Manage IT budgets and ensure procurement activities remain within approved limits
• Engage with vendors for sourcing, negotiation, and service delivery management
• Ensure optimal cost management while maintaining service quality

Capacity & Performance Management

• Monitor and optimize infrastructure capacity and performance
• Provide proactive support and identify opportunities for improvement
• Ensure business continuity through incident prevention and recovery planning

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field (Diploma holders with relevant experience may be considered)
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in infrastructure, storage, and network support
• Experience in team leadership and managing enterprise IT environments
• Experience in financial services or brokerage industry is an advantage

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of:
• Linux systems (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Virtualization)
• Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)
• Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, Antivirus, Firewalls
• Experience with:
• Storage & backup solutions (SAN / NAS)
• Monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Icinga
• PostgreSQL, Tomcat, DMZ environments
• Familiarity with:
• Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Security practices (phishing awareness, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing)

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to provide on-call support outside regular working hours
• Availability to work on weekends or public holidays when required
• Experience managing 24/7 IT operations environments is a plus
