Colt Engineering Hiring! Full Time Project Engineer in Selangor, Earn up to MYR 5,000 - Ricebowl

1. System Design & Engineering

• Design fire alarm systems based on building layouts, client requirements, and applicable regulations
• Prepare and review system layouts, device locations, riser diagrams, and technical schematics
• Collaborate with drafting team on shop drawings, ensuring accuracy and constructability
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as NFPA (e.g., NFPA 72) and local authority requirements including BOMBA regulations

2. Project Planning & Coordination

• Develop project schedules, manpower allocation plans, and material forecasting
• Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors, and clients throughout project execution
• Participate in technical meetings, coordination meetings, and progress discussions
• Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion within scope and budget

3. Installation Supervision

• Supervise on-site installation of fire alarm systems according to approved drawings and specifications
• Ensure installation quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project requirements
• Resolve technical and site-related issues during installation works
• Coordinate with site teams and other M&E trades for smooth execution

4. Testing & Commissioning

• Conduct system testing for fire alarm devices, control panels, and system interfaces
• Perform integration testing with related systems such as sprinkler, HVAC shutdown, and lift control
• Lead commissioning activities with consultants, contractors, and authorities
• Ensure full system functionality prior to handover

5. Documentation

• Prepare technical documentation including method statements, reports, and O&M manuals
• Maintain project records, inspection reports, and quality documentation
• Update and finalize as-built drawings for project handover

6. Compliance & Authority Approval

• Liaise with regulatory authorities including Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia for inspections and approvals
• Ensure all installations comply with statutory fire safety requirements
• Support submission and certification processes until final approval is obtained

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
