We are looking to hire a Service Coordinator to support our Oil & Gas portfolio, working closely with customers, service engineers and global principals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Service Coordination
- Plan, schedule, and monitor service jobs (installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and repair) for customers.
- Assign and coordinate field service engineers based on technical skills and job priority.
- Track job progress and ensure service completion within agreed timelines.
- Maintain proper service documentation (job reports, calibration certificates, service logs).
- Prepare service quotations (labour, parts, travel, etc.) and service contracts.
2. Customer & Technical Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries related to service and technical support.
- Log service requests and complaints, identify issues, and escalate to the appropriate engineer or principal supplier when needed.
- Provide basic technical troubleshooting and support via phone/email.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and close out service tickets.
- Support engineers with product information, manuals, calibration data, and technical bulletins.
4. Coordination with Sales & Principals
- Work closely with the sales team to provide technical input for proposals, product upgrades, and demo support.
- Liaise with overseas principals/suppliers for spare parts enquiry, technical clarifications, remote diagnostics and training arrangements when needed.
- Assist in warranty claim handling and coordination with manufacturers.
5. Inventory & Logistics
- Coordinate ordering and stock management of spare parts, and tools for service jobs.
- Manage shipping and logistics for parts sent to/from customers or principals.
6. Administrative & Reporting
- Generate quarterly service reports (manhour, completed job, first time fix rate).
- Support invoicing and payment follow-up for completed service jobs.
- Ensure calibration tools and test equipment are maintained and certified.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in chemistry, engineering or related technical field.
- 2–5 years of experience in technical support, service coordination, or field service (preferably in oil & gas / lab equipment industry).
- With technical understanding of laboratory/testing instruments (e.g. GC, physical properties testing equipment: flash point, viscosity, cloud point etc).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Good documentation, reporting, and organizational skills.
- Able to handle multiple service requests and work under tight deadlines.
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
