Job Role: Cloud Platform Engineer

Work Location: TRX, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Mode: Work from Office 5 days a week

SUMMARY:

Provides integrations with corporate datacenters, shared cloud infrastructure services, Works on engineering and continuous improvement of infrastructure stacks, templates, images, and other artifacts.

MAIN TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Responsibilities:

• 
  Implementing secure network solutions that meet business requirements.
• Creating and configuring virtualized systems in the AWS environment.
• Performing infrastructure upgrades and updates to maximize system efficiency while minimizing downtime.
• Deploying applications in AWS using EC2 instances and Elastic Beanstalk.
• Creating blueprints using CloudFormation templates for common workloads.
• Maintaining, testing and implementing disaster recovery procedures.
• Implementing automation using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) to manage AWS services.
• Building tools for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system resources in an AWS environment.
• Developing software components in Java/Python .NET that interact with AWS cloud services by leveraging the AWS APIs.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education / Certification

• Minimum Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
  
• Solution Architect or System Operation Administrator

Skills:

• 
  Troubleshoot Cloud Infra incidents and Identify the root causes
• Implement preventive measures
• Cloud Infra Maintenance and support
• Security Services
• Monitoring
• Implementing cost-control strategies
• AWS Knowledge
• Familiarity with Windows Server or Enterprise Linux
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with AWS
• Familiarity with modern cloud application architecture
• Exposure to cloud managed services and microservices like Function as a Service, Containers, and managed databases
• Familiarity working with large systems and Migrations
• Experience with setting up load balancers, cloud networks, and virtual servers
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Capable of working under tight deadlines
