ROLE: CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER
The Construction Engineer is responsible for coordinating and supervising Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical (CME) construction activities on site. This role provides technical support, site coordination, and execution oversight to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with specifications and regulations.
The Construction Engineer works closely with the Project Manager, consultants, contractors, and site teams to ensure smooth construction progress and proper integration of CME works.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate and supervise CME construction works across assigned projects.
- Review construction drawings, method statements, and work schedules.
- Plan work sequencing, manpower allocation, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with Project Manager, consultants, clients, and authorities on technical and site matters.
Site Supervision & Technical Control
- Supervise daily civil, mechanical, and electrical works on site.
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Resolve technical issues and provide practical solutions during construction.
- Ensure proper integration and coordination between civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Enforce HSE requirements and ensure site compliance with statutory regulations.
- Review method statements, risk assessments, and quality records.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor workmanship quality.
- Ensure works meet required standards and project specifications.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor site progress and report to Project Manager.
- Assist in reviewing variation works, site measurements, and progress claims.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and maintain site documentation.
- Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3–6 years of construction experience with exposure to CME works.
- Experience in coordinating contractors and site teams.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Willingness to work full-time on site when required.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
