Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

We’re looking for a meticulous and motivated SQA Engineer to join our team. You’ll play an important role in ensuring that our software products and systems meet the highest quality standards. This position involves testing, documentation, and coordination with developers and users to identify issues and improve product performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using issue-tracking tools.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understandrequirements and clarify test scenarios.
  • Review requirement specifications and technical documents to provide feedback on completeness and testability.
  • Ensure software releases meet established quality standards and timelines.
  • Prepare test plans, test reports, and quality metrics.
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives (Agile environment).
  • Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 1–3 years of experience in software testing or SQA (fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles).
  • An added advantage will be experience in utilities billing or being a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in metering, billing, or tariff-related systems.
  • Understanding of software testing processes, including system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Familiarity with testing and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of black-box and white-box testing techniques.
  • Interest in continuous learning and improvement of testing practices and tools
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Kuala Lumpur (Kuala Lumpur)
