Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Tax Assistant to support the tax and compliance team in managing documentation, submissions, and coordination with regulatory authorities. This role is suitable for candidates with at least 1 year of working experience who are organized, proactive, and able to manage tasks within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
You will be involved in handling tax-related documentation, liaising with government authorities, and supporting daily compliance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the tax team in handling correspondence and follow-ups with the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN/IRB) and Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD).
- Prepare and draft letters, applications, and supporting documents related to tax matters.
- Ensure timely submission of forms, documents, and compliance-related requirements.
- Follow up on application status, feedback, and updates from relevant authorities.
- Support the preparation of documentation for audits, reviews, and compliance checks.
Documentation & Administrative Coordination
- Maintain proper filing and organization of tax records and compliance documents.
- Monitor submission timelines and ensure deadlines are met accordingly.
- Perform accurate data entry into internal systems and tax software.
- Ensure all records and documentation are updated and maintained systematically.
Requirements
- Minimum SPM/Diploma qualification.
- At least 1 year of working experience in tax, accounting, audit, finance, or compliance-related roles.
- Fresh graduates with relevant internship exposure are encouraged to apply.
- Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Basic understanding of accounting or taxation principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle confidential information professionally.
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,600.00 per month
