Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and SOPs.
Manage assigned kitchen section efficiently during operations.
Ensure food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation standards are maintained.
Monitor food preparation to ensure consistency and timely service.
Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth workflow.
Team Supervision
Supervise and guide Commis Chefs, Kitchen Helpers, and junior staff.
Assist in training and developing kitchen team members.
Ensure kitchen staff follow hygiene and safety procedures.
Food Safety & Hygiene
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.
Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and sanitation standards.
Monitor proper storage and labeling of ingredients and prepared food.
Inventory & Cost Control
Monitor stock usage and minimize food wastage.
Assist with inventory checks and stock ordering.
Report shortages, spoilage, or equipment issues to management.
General Duties
Support kitchen operations during peak hours and special events.
Follow company policies, SOPs, and workplace safety regulations.
Assist Executive Chef or Sous Chef with menu preparation and operational planning when required.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
