About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Middleware Administrator to support enterprise middleware environments across multiple platforms. This role involves end-to-end administration, production support, performance tuning, and ensuring high availability of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade middleware platforms (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, IIS, Oracle HTTP Server, Oracle E-Business Suite)
- Perform middleware administration including service requests, changes, and reconfigurations
- Handle L2/L3 incident management with troubleshooting, log analysis, and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Execute patching, upgrades, and deployments following change management processes (CAB approvals)
- Apply security patches and hardening to ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements
- Monitor system performance, perform JVM tuning, and optimize thread/connection pools
- Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) activities including drills and failover testing
- Maintain middleware inventory and track version lifecycle
- Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and documentation
- Provide guidance and support to L1/L2 teams
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams
- Participate in audits, compliance activities, and risk mitigation initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–8 years of Middleware Administration experience
- Hands-on experience with:
- WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, IIS, Oracle HTTP Server, Oracle EBS
- Strong understanding of:
- Application server architecture
- JVM tuning, thread pools, and datasource management
- Deployment lifecycle and clustering
- Experience in:
- Incident Management (L2/L3 support)
- Change, Release & Deployment processes
- Security patching and system hardening
- Solid knowledge of operating systems:
- Linux (RHEL), Solaris, Windows Server, AIX
- Experience with monitoring tools and performance optimization
- Exposure to Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) setups
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release)
Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM12,500.00 per month
