Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automation & Electrical Control Engineer to design, develop, and optimize advanced control systems for complex, non-standard automation equipment. This role combines high-level system design, hands-on commissioning, and continuous improvement of cutting-edge automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop control systems for complex automation equipment, including PLC and robotic systems
- Research, introduce, and implement advanced control technologies
- Estimate project costs, timelines, and resource requirements
- Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and component selection plans
- Perform on-site debugging, commissioning, optimization, and troubleshooting
- Develop and release electrical operation manuals and standardized engineering documentation
- Conduct root cause analysis of system issues and implement long-term corrective actions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in non-standard automation electrical control development
- Proven experience in logic and motion control programming for custom equipment (e.g., inspection, dispensing, lamination, screw driving, testing systems)
- Experience developing PLC programs with 24+ servo axes and complex logic structures (20,000+ steps)
- Strong background in PLC motion control with vision-based compensation
- Hands-on experience with circular interpolation and cam motion control
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Omron, Mitsubishi, Inovance) and HMI development
- Strong knowledge of servo systems, inverters, and stepper motor selection and parameter tuning
- Skilled in electrical design using AutoCAD or E-Plan
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM20,000.00 per month
